Our Goal

We started out with a narrow goal to develop a technology to change fibre dyeing. This revealed that the challenges in textiles and fibre science are more systemic and the current research ecosystem is not providing solutions. 

Loom and Power is building a new organisation that can catalyse R&D in fibres and filaments. This will bridge new ideas from idea to application across medical, aerospace, industrial and consumer.  

Loom and Power’s goal is to become a Focused Research Organization and we are currently applying for the Research Ventures Catalyst competition from DSIT.
